The TVs can be contolled from anywhere in the home Aquavision is to showcase a new range of waterproof HD-ready TVs at a forthcoming technology event which will be the first of their kind to have an RS232 control.

The company will unveil its Series4 high-performance range of TVs at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2008, which come in a variety of screen sizes and feature an RS232 control port.

This means that the sets can be controlled from anywhere in the home via a compatible touch panel, Hidden Wires reports.

Aquavision will be introducing five waterproof HD-ready LCD in-wall televisions at ISE, in 17-, 19-, 26-, 32- and 40-inch widescreen sizes.

Available in three finishes including black and white, these tellies accept both industry standard high-definition video formats (1080i and 720p), come with integrated Freeview digital and analogue tuners and
