To commemorate ten years of Lara's adventures, Eidos Interactive Ltd launched Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary for just the PlayStation 2, the PSP and PCs. Now though, owners of another console will gleefully be able to play the new game as it is to be made available on the Nintendo Wii.
Kathryn Clements, senior brand manager for Tomb Raider at Eidos, said: "The Wii home video game system is a hugely innovative games console and we wanted to make a special version of Anniversary to appeal to Wii owners.
"The Wii Remote & Nunchuck controllers allow Wii gamers to control Lara in brand new, unique ways, and there are plenty of new features, to be revealed soon."
The new game will be released for the PlayStation 2, the PSP and PCs in North America on June 6th this year. Wii owners will have to sit tight and wait though, as a release date for Tomb Raider: Anniversary on the console is yet to be announced.
