Top Gear on Gran Turismo

If you are a fan of super-fast cars then the chances are you will thoroughly enjoy playing video games where you can wizz around in a glitzy racer, as well as any sort of television programme to do with those super-fast roadsters.So, you will undoubtedly have a bit of a grin on your face when you hear that not only will the latest Gran Turismo game have a big dose of the usual high-speed action, but it will also feature various bits and pieces from popular motoring programme Top Gear.
The BBC is teaming up with Sony and Polyphony Digital to provide a whole heap of Top Gear content for forthcoming PS3 console title Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.
Episodes of the TV show will be available for download through Gran Turismo TV over the Playstation Network.
And what's more, the infamous Top Gear track will be replicated in the game.
Simon Danker, director of digital media at BBC Worldwide, said: "BBC Top Gear is the world's number one motoring media brand and we’re thrilled to make it accessible to Gran Turismo gamers.
"We continue to explore different avenues to share our content with an expanding audience, and are delighted to participate with Polyphony Digital in the launch of this exciting new opportunity."
The game is set to be released in 2008.
