Toshiba offers new feature-packed screen

29 Jan 2008 13:58

The Toshiba range continues to bloom A new review has suggested that not only is Toshiba's latest 47-inch model as stylish as its little brother, but it also packs a punch in terms of features.

The manufacturer's new 47Z3030 comes with the same sleek glossy finish and triple HDMI connectivity as its 42-inch sibling and gives 10-bit processing as well as full 1080p high definition.

However, the Trusted Reviews website reports that it is a contrast ratio of 15,000:1 as well as features including Active Vision M100 HD - which aims to improve levels of colour, contrast, brightness and noise - that set the unit apart from others in the range.

"Such colour intensity additionally helps the picture look unusually solid and deep, as well, of course, as simply ensuring that your gaze remains attracted to the screen like a moth to a flame," the review states.

It is also reported that the unit is now available at "some pretty attractive prices" and that it comes with a Dynamic Curve feature that claims to offer more natural colour tones and improved mpeg and standard definition playback.

Last year the site recommended the 42-inch version of the panel, stating that the screen "sits at the top of the Toshiba tree".
