13 Dec 2007 17:15

HDMI is the best option for PS3 connectivity Owners of the PlayStation 3 (PS3) and Microsoft Xbox 360 (Xbox) are being advised on which system offers the best in terms of compatibility and HD resolution.

According to the HDTV UK website "games on the big screen can be incredibly immersive" and as such the site has compiled a list of handy tips for video game fans.

The website notes that both video games systems are capable of handling HD and that their HDMI compatibility makes hooking-up the systems to an LCD or plasma TV relatively easy to do.

It is also said that the PS3 comes fully compatible with Blu-ray - making it an important player in the current battle between the format and HD DVD format - and that more and more of the consoles games are making use of full HD resolution of 1080p.

However, the site states that Xbox was also conceived with HD in mind and that Microsoft even stipulated that all games released on the machine have a minimum HD performance of 720p.
