Video gamers given GTA4 audio option

31 Mar 2008 17:44

GTA4: Now with downloadable audio option Console fans have been given the chance to download the music from the up and coming Grand Theft Auto (GTA) sequel - while they are still playing, it has emerged.

According to the Game Daily website, the fourth in the franchise has been eagerly awaited for some time and now fans have been told they can download the soundtrack while taking part in the game itself.

The site reports that while taking part in GTA 4's various missions, players can register their interest in the songs playing by dialling ZiT-555-0100 through an in-game mobile phone interface, where they can access over 150 tracks from the game's soundtrack.

When the player registers with the Rockstar Games Social Club online community they will then be able to download the songs they have "tagged" from Amazon.

Previously, music has played a huge part in the popular franchise, in particular with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which not only featured on the car radios of the in-game vehicles but was also made available on an eight-CD boxed set.
