Wii has most exclusive games in the pipeline

The Nintendo Wii Console seems to be going from strength to strength.Not only is it selling incredible well, notably in Japan were sales have topped three million, but now it has transpired that there are more exclusive games being developed for the Wii than for any other console.
According to a study published on Monday (July 23rd), there are 113 games in the pipeline for Nintendo's immensely popular platform. This is a notably higher figure than that being planned for the Xbox 360 (96) or the Playstation 3 (47).
The report, conducted by gaming website Gaming Target, shows that the Wii has claimed the top spot from the previous leader the Xbox 360, which has resided at number one since the development of exclusive games was first tracked in October last year.
It is thought that the surge in exclusive games for the Wii can be attributed to the E3 conference, where several publishers showcased what they are developing.
Gaming Target's list does not take into account games which can be played on more than one system, although it does accept those which appear on PCs or portable consoles. It only includes games which have formally been announced for the North American market.
