Halo Xbox 360 price announced

A recommended retail price for the Halo 3 Special Edition Xbox 360 has finally been announced by Microsoft. As of September 26th - to coincide with the launch of Halo 3 in Europe - the console will sell for £279.99. However, the console will not come bundled with a copy of the game.
Nonetheless, it does feature a 20GB hard-drive, a wired headset and wireless controller, and is styled to match the gold and green Halo 3 branding.
In addition, it grants players a one-month subscription to the Xbox LIVE Gold service and comes with various cool accessories such as a Play & Charge Kit and an Ethernet cable.
Stephen McGill, Microsoft's head of gaming and entertainment said: "We are pleased to offer the cool Halo 3 Special Edition console for the huge Halo fan community.
"It's a great way for Halo fans to show their allegiance to one of the most popular and successful entertainment franchises ever."
Earlier this week, Microsoft announced price reductions for the three other Xbox 360 models.
